my hometown is lhasa, the largest city on the roof of the world. it is the heart and soul of tibet. i think lhasa is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. it is surrounded by towering mountains and rarely a day goes by when you don’ t see the deep blue sky. lhasa river is flowing quietly around the city.

lhasa is the mixture of tradition and fashion.

firstly, lhasa has a long history. it is the political, cultural and economic center of tibet. it has lots of famous sights to offer. the potala palace is the most famous, a magnificent and wonderful place to look at. in my opinion it is a unique artistic achievem ……此处隐藏3054个字……h bank of the poyang lake. it is 1,474 metres high and has a lot of nice scenic spots②, such as the flower path(花径), the five-old-manpeak(五老峰),the jinxiu valley(锦绣谷), the immortal's cave(仙人洞), the three-step waterfalls(三叠泉)and so on. thousands of people from other parts of china and foreign countries come here every year, especially in summer.

summer on mount lushan is very cool. the highest temperature is only 32℃. it can be called a huge natural air-conditioner③ in summer. winter here is nice, too. heavy snow falls every year. there is a popular saying:“mount lushan in summer is green like a clear fountain④, and in winter is white like white jade⑤.”
